RepairDesk vs RepairPlugin
RepairDesk is a cloud point of sale you rent per store. RepairPlugin is a booking and repair plugin you install on your own WordPress site. They overlap on bookings and repair tickets and differ on almost everything else. Here is where each one wins.
Facts checked on both websites on 2 November 2026.

Which one fits your shop?
Three situations we see most often.
One shop with a website
If customers find you online and you want them to book and pay without calling, RepairPlugin does that on the site you already have. If your day runs over the counter, with walk-ins, stock and receipts, RepairDesk's point of sale is the better core.
Verdict: RepairPlugin for bookings and prices. For the till: RepairDesk, or RepairPlugin with My Gadget Repairs behind it.
Several locations
RepairDesk bills every store and gives you franchise reporting and stock transfers between stores. RepairPlugin Scale runs all your branches on one WordPress install for one price, with per-location prices and the nearest shop picked for the customer automatically.
Verdict: Count your stores. From three up, the per-store bill is the difference.
Mobile or on-location repair
RepairPlugin has four service methods built in: come by, send in, pickup and repair on location, with distance-based prices and time slots per method. RepairDesk is built around the counter.
Verdict: RepairPlugin.
Need the counter too? RepairPlugin plus My Gadget Repairs
RepairDesk's point of sale, stock and purchase orders are things RepairPlugin leaves to a back-office tool on purpose. The one it links to is My Gadget Repairs (MGR): cloud software with repair tickets, invoicing, CRM, POS and inventory.
How the MGR link works- RepairPlugin runs the front: the booking flow lives in your WordPress site as a plugin, not in an iframe.
- Every booking submitted on your site lands in MGR as a lead automatically, complete with the line items and the prices the customer saw at that moment.
- Your staff turn the lead into a repair ticket in one click. Line items become products in MGR, created on the spot if they do not exist yet.
- MGR runs the shop floor: tickets, invoices, POS, inventory, purchase orders and supplier links.
MGR has a free plan for one shop with 25 tickets a month and paid plans from GBP 30 a month, priced per shop for more locations, with a 7-day trial. Together the two cover what RepairDesk covers, with the website part on your own domain.
What does it cost?
The prices each vendor publishes, in its own currency.
RepairPlugin, per domain
- Essentials: EUR 24 a month billed yearly (EUR 29 half-yearly). Bookings and the device catalogue.
- Growth: EUR 49 (EUR 55). Adds supplier price sync, Dynamic Pricing and workflow automation.
- Scale: EUR 79 (EUR 95). Adds advanced multi-location management.
- 30-day trial for EUR 1. VAT excluded. One domain per licence.
RepairDesk, per store
- Essential: USD 79 per store a month billed annually, USD 99 billed quarterly.
- Growth: USD 119 per store a month billed annually, USD 149 billed quarterly.
- Advanced: custom quote, for mail-in repair, refurbishment and repair depots.
- Payment upfront. Annual billing is 20% cheaper. Add-ons such as email campaigns are paid extras.
A shop with two stores pays RepairDesk twice. One RepairPlugin licence covers every branch on one domain.
Switching from RepairDesk
You do not have to move in one weekend. This is how most shops do it:
- Ask RepairDesk for an export of your customers and open repairs and keep it as a CSV.
- Install RepairPlugin on your WordPress site and pick the devices and repairs you offer. The catalogue is pre-filled.
- Connect your suppliers so prices follow cost prices (Growth and Scale).
- Run both for a week: new bookings through your site, open tickets finished in RepairDesk.
- Cancel RepairDesk at the end of your billing period.
Or keep both
You can keep RepairDesk at the counter and use RepairPlugin for bookings through your site. There is no direct link between the two, so your staff copy each booking into RepairDesk by hand. If bookings should arrive automatically, My Gadget Repairs does that.

RepairPlugin from EUR 24 a month billed yearly, RepairDesk from USD 79 per store a month billed annually. RepairDesk caps users per plan; RepairPlugin does not.
