Version 3.0: Introducing Repair Management

Track every repair from intake to pickup. The new Repair Management module turns the appointments dashboard into a full operational view of your shop.

For two years, our customers have asked us the same question in different ways: "Once the appointment is booked, what happens next?"

The answer used to be a spreadsheet, a whiteboard, or a separate piece of software. From version 3.0 of RepairPlugin Pro, the answer is the Repairs Workflow add-on, our new module for tracking repairs through every stage of your bench, all inside RepairPlugin.

What Repair Management does

Every appointment in your shop is now a repair record. Each repair has a status, a technician assignment, a parts checklist, and a complete history. You can:

  • Move a repair through stages: Scheduled, In Diagnosis, Waiting Parts, In Repair, Ready, Completed
  • Assign and reassign repairs between technicians
  • Attach internal notes that customers never see
  • Track the parts allocated to a job and flag missing inventory
  • Generate a customer-facing status link so the customer can check progress without calling you

The module is available on the Growth and Scale plans.

Why we built it

We watched our customers run their shops on three or four overlapping tools. The booking flow lived in RepairPlugin, the actual repair tracking lived in a Google Sheet, the internal communication lived in WhatsApp, and the customer status updates lived in copy-pasted emails.

That fragmentation creates real costs: dropped repairs, customers calling because they don't know the status, technicians repeating diagnoses because the previous shift's notes were on a different platform.

Repair Management consolidates that. The appointment, the repair, the parts, the technician notes, and the customer-facing status all live in one record.

What else is in 3.0

The release also includes:

  • Automatic workflow creation for newly added or downloaded models. When a new model is added to your catalog, default pricing, durations, and visibility rules apply automatically. No more manual setup for each new device.
  • Special note on Quote PDF when the technician creates the Quote. Lets technicians add a custom note that appears on the PDF Quote, useful for jobs with unusual scope.
  • Georgian lari (GEL) added to Currency, Tax & Dates, for shops operating in Georgia.

How to enable it

If you're on the Growth or Scale plan, Repairs Workflow appears in your admin alongside the Appointments Dashboard. Existing appointments are automatically migrated into repair records, with status set to whatever stage they were in at the time of upgrade.
