Reduce no-shows
with upfront deposits.
Require a fixed or percentage-based deposit at checkout, customers pay upfront and settle the rest after the repair is done.
Skin in the game = customers show up.
A small upfront payment dramatically reduces no-shows and protects your timeslots. Pick a fixed amount or a percentage, with a smart threshold that switches to full payment when it makes sense.
Committed customers
Customers who pay upfront are far more likely to show up for their appointment. A deposit creates commitment and reduces the cost of empty timeslots.
Flexible deposit options
Charge a flat amount (e.g., $20) or a percentage of the total repair cost (e.g., 30%). Choose the option that best fits your pricing model and average order value.
Smart full-payment threshold
When a fixed deposit covers more than 70% of the total (default threshold), RepairPlugin charges the full amount instead. This avoids tiny remaining balances that are awkward to collect.
Works with major payment gateways
Deposits require at least one online payment method, Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, or iDEAL in3. The "Pay after repair" method alone is not sufficient for deposit collection.
Three steps from setting to settled.
Switch deposits on, pick a type and amount, and customers see the deposit and remaining balance at checkout.
Enable deposits
Go to Settings > Checkout & Discount > Require Deposit. Switch on Require a deposit when checking out and make sure at least one online payment method is active.
Set the type and amount
Choose Fixed or Percentage, enter the deposit value, and optionally configure the Charge Full Amount threshold for fixed deposits (default: 70%).
Customers pay at checkout
The checkout step shows the deposit amount and remaining balance. Customers complete the deposit payment to finalize their booking, and pay the rest after the repair.
Included on every plan.
Deposit Payments are part of the core checkout experience and are available from Essentials onwards.

Common questions.
Which payment methods support deposits?
You need at least one online payment method active, Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, or iDEAL in3. The "Pay after repair" option alone will not work for collecting deposits.
Does the threshold setting apply to percentage-based deposits?
No. The Charge Full Amount threshold is only visible and active when the Type is set to Fixed.
What is the default threshold percentage?
The default is 70%. If the calculated fixed deposit equals or exceeds 70% of the total, RepairPlugin charges the full amount instead of just the deposit.
What happens if I set the deposit amount to 0?
A deposit amount of 0 effectively means no deposit is charged. Negative values are automatically corrected to 0.
